On Aug. 8, 2026, pop-rock sensation 5 Seconds of Summer came back to Camden, N.J. as part of their Everyone’s A Star tour. The opening lineup included Haiden Henderson and The Band Camino. This is the first time that the group has toured together since their 2022 tour, Take My Hand.
5 Seconds of Summer is composed of Luke Hemmings (30), Calum Hood (30), Michael Clifford (30) and Ashton Irwin (32). Hemmings and Clifford play the guitar, Hood plays the bass and Irwin plays the drums as well as some guitar. All members sing in the band.
During V.I.P. soundcheck, 5 Seconds of Summer performed two of their songs, “Caramel (2022)” and “Vapor (2015).” Of course, lead singer Hemmings forgot some of the lyrics to “Vapor.”
One of the questions asked during soundcheck was regarding which monkey they represent/resemble more. The fan asking the question gave suggestions: Clifford as a howler, Hemings as a gibbon, Hood as a baboon and Irwin as a silverback. Clifford immediately wanted to transfer to being a chimpanzee.
There was a statement by Clifford regarding Chobani yogurt. Irwin stated there was a recall for having radioactive material, which Clifford did not know about. Upon research after, there was no recall for this specifically. Also, 5 Seconds of Summer can see live voting for the secret song. What happened to democracy?
Starting the concert was Henderson around 7 P.M., who sang six songs, such as “sweat (2024),” “NSFW (2026),” “Kiwi” (a Harry Styles cover) and “freak for you (2026).” Fans were still trickling into the venue since the doors opened a little bit later than posted, but most got to hear the final two songs, “hell of a good time (2024)” and “lovesucker (2025).”
The crowd started to get more into the concert as soon as everyone got through the gates and when The Band Camino came on stage around 8 P.M. They performed nine of their hits. “Baggy Jeans (2025),” “Daphne Blue (2019),” “What Am I Missing (2023)” and “See Through (2019)” were some of the songs that they performed.
5 Seconds of Summer came on at 9:10 P.M. The crowd was fired-up as soon as they stepped onto the stage. They opened with “Not OK (2025),” “No. 1 Obsession (2025),” “Teeth (2020)” and “Easier (2020).” During every song, the crowd was jumping, singing, and even screaming, along.
The secret song they performed was “Teenage Dream” (a Katy Perry cover), after the website to vote was showing question marks and no true songs. During the soundcheck, the website was working fine. The fans were very confused at first, but the surprise made it worth it.
The band also sang some of their older songs such as “Amnesia (2014),” “She’s Kinda Hot (2015),” “English Love Affair (2014),” “Voodoo Doll (2014)” and “Don’t Stop (2014).” There were a lot of fans that knew their older music. Most could not believe they were performing those songs as many “OMG’s” and “what’s” were being yelled.
In between some of the songs, they played videos of their younger selves when the band first got together. It definitely made some of the fans emotional. One of the videos shown gave the vibe of an introduction to a movie in a movie theater and was loved as well. The band continuously said they were at their peak, which is an understatement according to the concert and their fans’ reactions.
The last time that 5 Seconds of Summer came to Camden, N.J. was on July 16, 2016 for the Sounds Live Feels Live tour. It was Hemmings’ 20th birthday. The band had brought a cake for him to celebrate on-stage with the fans. Now they are back and better than ever to promote their new album, Everyone’s A Star!
The Everyone’s A Star tour is ongoing, with the members to hit South America next before moving on to their home country of Australia.
